Last week’s bone-chilling cold snap (ok, yes, bone chilling for a Californian) has left Southern Cali, chased out by warm Santa Ana winds and temps in the 70’s, followed by grass- and garden-welcomed, light “rainy reading weather” for the next few days. But not before I snapped some once-every-ten-years-or-so icy pics. Love these so much!! Birdbath ice & fountain icicles.
“There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you…. In spring, summer, and fall, people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself.” ~ Ruth Stout
