“Be like the bird in flight ~ pausing a while on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, yet sings knowing yet, that she has wings.” ~Victor Marie Hugo
I found this beauty just sitting peacefully on my backyard fountain, waiting, pondering about something. Then Hawk started dancing on one foot, squawking in a language only her or his kind knew.
These pictures were taken through my sliding glass door with my long lens. Once Darby figured I was on to something “bird-like,” she made her appearance through the glass.
Wings spread majestically, gracefully, Hawk flew away.
