…way up high, there’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Well, we have come to the end of our dream and the end of our sandy yellow brick road in Maui. After eight nights and seven days, it is time to leave the Land of Hawaii and return home. What an unforgettable memory it has been, and not a week passes where I don’t daydream and long to return to the State of Hawaii.
Mando, Carla, and Adrian still had about four days remaining in Maui, but for our final day on the island, all of us spent some lazy time around the pool and then ate a late lunch at the favorite Hula Grill in Ka’anapali’s Whaler’s Village. When we finished eating and were walking back to our cars, we were given one last gift, the most beautiful and vibrant rainbow imaginable.
At that moment a smile came across my face, as I deemed this rainbow quite symbolic: All the memories and bonds created on this vacation in Maui where we were joined by the Silva and Seagraves Families were absolutely the pot of gold under this rainbow.
Until we meet again Maui, Mahalo!
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue…And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
